Bishnupur can be famous as pride of Bengal for it is exciting terracotta artwork, the school classical and also famous for Baluchori sarees. In this place are also known as spiritual area because here you can see the numerous temples spread across total area of Bishnupur. In those temple visit at least twenty of them are worth visiting. It is some more better to spend long time to observe the terracotta work on the temple walls.

These historical place are constructed during the rein of Malla dynasty from 16th to 18th century. Maximum of them are single-towered temples. Some temple of them are made of bricks and some are of stones. A simple whole are sufficient to cover all the temples.

HOW TO REACH BISHNUPUR:

You can reached the Bishnupur by train or buses both. Bishnupur is best approached from Kolkata. Buses head towards Bishnupur from the bus terminus at Esplanade. Besides, Rupashi Bangla Express or Purulia express leave from Howrah station to Bishnupur. Aranyak Express leaves from Shalimar station.

 GETTING AROUND THE BISHNUPUR:

Ras-manch, Shyamraj and Jor-Bangla or Kestaray are the three unique pieces of architectural marvel. They are total are now the Archeological survey of India. This all temple are visited using a single ticket purchased at the entry point. 
In these all temple 12 are single-towered temples 10 is made of laterite stone. Other of these temple are situated on the southest part of the town, near Lalbandh: Radhgovinda, Nandalal, Radhamadhav and kalchand Temples.
Madanmohan temple is a brick-made single-towered temple. In this area Dalmadal Canon is another attraction. It is a 12 and half feet long and 11 and half inch diameter has been preserved for tourists.
The Bangio Sahitya Parishad can be another interesting spot of those interested in acheology, here you can see the rich collection of artifacts, intricately designed handicrafts and Baluchori saree.
