Kolkata Planned new Financial hub | Kolkata have new Financial hub | Financial Hub in Kolkata | Financial Hub in West Bengal.
A new financial hub will be set up near the Jyoti Basu Nagar of north-eastern site kolkata. This financial hub will be only the scond hub in any where in India. In 6th October,2010 in the official program in Rajarhat Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee told “We are planning infrastructure projects in the state. We have decided to set up a financial hub in Rajarhat township. I hope to open that hub in October and the finance minister would come to inaugurate it,” and also he said this industrialists in an interactive session organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) here Wednesday.
West Bengal Minister for Housing and Public Health Engineering Gautam Deb said “Kolkata is the only metropolitan city in the Eastern region and has the potential to rival Mumbai as a financial centre,” The financial hub will be styled on the one at the Bandra-Kurla complex in Mumbai.
This was the first appearance of the chief minister in any industry body meeting after the Singur debacle in the state in 2008. Talking about land acquisition, Bhattacharjee said the central government should enact the new Land Acquisition Act as the current one, prepared in 1894, was very old. “We can’t go with the 1894 Act anymore.”
